G-line reason: Host used for flooding.

Duration: 1-2 years

Reason: Undernet services have identified you and other clients join/part flooding channels. These G-lines never get removed during the first week. Do not email abuse@undernet.org for such G-lines as they are never manually removed.

Your IP address will be added to a dns blacklist. After 7 days have passed, `DNSBL listed` is the gline reason that will be displayed when you attempt to connect. You may fill a delist request for your IP address on the web site provided in the gline reason, but the join/part flooding entries never get removed within the first 1 or 2 years. You IP may remain permanently banned from Undernet.

G-line reason: Automatically banned for excessive connections.

Duration: 1 day

Note: If you get the Connection limit exceeded message, it means that your IP address is not yet banned from the network, but would be if one more client connected from your IP space.

G-line reason:: You were identified as a drone. Email abuse@undernet.org for removal. (PXXX)

If you get G-lined for this reason, it can mean one of these two things:

1. Our services have detected a drone connecting from your IP address and one of your machines is infected with a virus; or
2. Our services mistakenly identified you as a drone and you need to contact abuse@undernet.org to get this looked at.

G-line reason: DNSBL Entries.

Domain Name System Blacklists, also known as DNSBL or DNS Blacklists, are spam blocking lists that allow a website administrator to block messages from specific systems that have a history of sending spam.
In Undernet’s case, the blacklists used are not only for spam, but for identifying compromised machines, open proxies and IP addresses previously used for abuse.
